The Downstairs Comedy Club Berlin has quickly established itself as a new hot spot for stand-up comedy fans in the heart of the capital. Felix Lobrecht, the founder of the comedy club, wanted to create a venue that would clearly stand out from other comedy clubs. The PROTONES team was entrusted with the task of designing the club's event technology.

For the perfect sound, the PROTONES team opted for the L-ACOUSTICS Syva system and supplemented it with the L-ACOUSTICS 5XT loudspeakers. This combination guarantees a clear and powerful sound quality that maintains speech intelligibility even in a packed club. L-ACOUSTICS X8s were also installed as monitor loudspeakers for the stage.

In addition to excellent acoustics, the club relies on advanced camera technology. The PROTONES team integrated several Sony FX30 and Sony FR7 PTZ cameras, which enable sharp recordings and live streams. The cameras and the entire AV system can be easily controlled via the Sony RM-IP500.

Chauvet Ovation and LiteMat Plus 4 softlights were used for the lighting. This combined solution provides atmospheric stage lighting that retains the authentic charm of a comedy cellar.

With this technical equipment, the PROTONES team has created the perfect basis for first-class shows and unforgettable experiences at the Downstairs Comedy Club Berlin.
